Namorra respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and retain personal information when you visit namorra.com, place an order, create or use an account, contact us, exercise a right or otherwise interact with our online store.
For the purposes of UK data-protection law, Namorra is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Namorra is based in Watford, United Kingdom.
1. Personal information we collect
The information collected depends on how you interact with the store. It may include:
Identity and contact information: your name, billing and delivery addresses, telephone number and other contact details you provide.
Order and transaction information: products viewed, selected or purchased, order value, discounts, delivery option, returns, refunds and transaction history.
Payment information: payment method, payment status, transaction identifiers and limited payment details made available by payment services. Full payment-card details are normally handled by the relevant payment service rather than stored by Namorra.
Account information: sign-in details, saved preferences, addresses and account activity where customer accounts are available.
Communications: information included in Contact Form submissions, support requests, reviews, survey responses or other messages.
Device and usage information: internet protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, language, time zone, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, referring pages, actions taken and approximate location derived from technical data.
Marketing and preference information: communication choices, consent records, shopping interests and interactions with promotional content where applicable.
Security and fraud-prevention information: account, device, payment, order and activity signals used to protect customers, transactions and the store.
Please do not provide sensitive personal information through the Contact Form unless it is necessary for your request and we have asked for it.
2. How we collect personal information
We collect personal information:
directly from you, including at checkout, through an account, through the Contact Form, or when you request a return or other support;
automatically when you use the website, including through cookies and similar technologies;
from Shopify and service providers that support payments, fraud prevention, website operation, analytics, customer communications, fulfilment and delivery;
from advertising, social-media or business partners where you interact with a Namorra promotion and the sharing is permitted; and
from public or lawful sources where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, protect rights or comply with law.
3. How and why we use personal information
We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis. Depending on the activity, we may use it:
To perform a contract or take steps at your request: to operate checkout, process payment, accept and fulfil orders, arrange delivery, provide order information, manage accounts, process cancellations, returns and refunds, and provide customer support.
To comply with legal obligations: to maintain appropriate tax, accounting and transaction records, respond to lawful requests, provide statutory remedies, protect data rights and meet consumer-protection duties.
For legitimate interests: to secure the website and transactions, prevent and investigate fraud or misuse, improve store performance and customer experience, understand demand, administer claims, establish or defend legal rights, and operate Namorra efficiently. We use this basis only where those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
With consent: to send consent-based marketing, use non-essential cookies or similar technologies, or process information for another purpose where consent is the appropriate basis. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Where we need personal information to enter into or perform a contract and you do not provide it, we may be unable to process an order, deliver goods or respond fully to a request.
4. Orders, payments and fraud prevention
Order and payment information is used to authorise transactions, confirm availability, deliver purchases, handle support and provide returns or refunds. Payment services process payment details under their own privacy terms.
We use proportionate security and fraud-prevention checks. Automated indicators may support those checks, but Namorra does not intend to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects unless this is permitted by law and the required information and safeguards are provided.
5. Marketing
Where permitted, we may use contact and preference information to send news, offers or product information. You can stop promotional communications by using the unsubscribe option provided in the message or by contacting us. Service messages about an order, account, security matter or policy request are not marketing and may still be sent where necessary.
We do not use consent to marketing as a condition of purchasing goods. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies and similar technologies may be used to operate checkout, remember selections, secure the website, understand performance, personalise features and, where enabled, measure or tailor advertising.
Technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you request may operate without consent where the law permits. Non-essential technologies are used only with the choice required by applicable law. You can manage available choices through the cookie-preference controls on the website. Browser controls may also block or delete cookies, although doing so can affect store functionality.
7. How we disclose personal information
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Recipient categories may include:
Shopify: the ecommerce platform that hosts and supports the store, checkout and related services;
payment services: to authorise, process and protect transactions;
delivery and fulfilment services: to prepare, route, deliver and support orders and returns;
technology, security, communications and analytics services: to operate, protect, measure and support the website and customer service;
marketing and advertising services: where their involvement is permitted and any required choice has been obtained;
professional advisers and insurers: where reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, audit, risk or claims purposes;
public authorities, regulators, courts and law-enforcement bodies: where disclosure is required or permitted by law; and
parties to a business transaction: where Namorra or relevant assets are reorganised, financed, transferred, sold or acquired, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
We may also disclose information at your direction or with your consent. We do not permit a service provider to use personal information for unrelated purposes merely because it processes information for Namorra.
8. Shopify
The store is hosted on Shopify. Shopify processes personal information to provide and improve its platform and may process information about your interactions with this and other Shopify stores. Shopify may act as a processor for Namorra and, for some platform functions, as a controller in its own right.
You can learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and, where available, use the Shopify Privacy Portal.
9. International transfers
Shopify and other service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK law requires a transfer safeguard, we use or rely on an applicable adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK addendum to approved standard contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard. Relevant providers may also apply technical and contractual protections.
You may ask for further information about applicable transfer safeguards, subject to lawful confidentiality restrictions. Please use our Contact Form.
10. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for related legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute and enforcement needs.
Retention periods vary according to the type of information, the status of an order or account, legal limitation periods, record-keeping obligations, the likelihood of a dispute, security needs and whether the information can be safely deleted or anonymised. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it unless continued retention is required or permitted by law.
11. Security
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use appropriate care when sending information and keep account credentials confidential.
If you believe an account or interaction with Namorra has been compromised, notify us promptly. Please use our Contact Form.
12. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the law that applies and the circumstances, you may have the right to:
request access to personal information held about you;
request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
request deletion of information;
request restriction of processing;
object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
receive certain information in a portable format or ask for it to be transferred;
withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and
raise a concern with a data-protection authority.
These rights are not absolute. We may need to verify your identity and may retain or continue to process information where law permits or requires it. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
To exercise a right, Please use our Contact Form.
13. Complaints
Please contact us first if you have a privacy concern so that we can try to resolve it. Please use our Contact Form.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Information about making a complaint is available at ico.org.uk. If you live outside the United Kingdom, you may also have the right to contact the data-protection authority where you live.
14. Children
The store is intended for people able to enter into an online purchase directly or with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from a child who cannot lawfully provide it. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information inappropriately may ask us to review and, where required, delete it. Please use our Contact Form.
15. Third-party websites
The website may link to services not controlled by Namorra. Their own privacy notices apply to their collection and use of personal information. A link does not make Namorra responsible for the privacy practices of an independent website.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, technology, the store or our handling of personal information. The revised version will be published here with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice before a material new use begins.
17. Contact
For privacy questions, rights requests or complaints, Please use our Contact Form.
